Spot the Connections, Connect the Dots

Update the news in real-time using Dotspots, a beta service that uses distributed objects of thought (DOTS) to provide new information, first-hand accounts and other relevant perspectives to current events and issues. It’s free for users, and creates comprehensive coverage by giving multiple and alternative perspectives. For example, that big story about the South Korean fishing boat that was attached by North Korea, if you happen to know where exactly the boat went down, you could make a dot providing a map of its location. If you happen to know someone who was on the fishing boat that was killed, you could write up a short biography of that person and use that as a dot. Dotspots increases the awareness of the nuances to various issues, while increasing the traffic to blogs and smaller news organizations at no additional cost.
