Charity Navigator can answer those questions for you. This “guide to intelligent giving” has financial-health ratings for over 5,500 charities and non-profit organizations, and these ratings are updated every fiscal year after a charity files its taxes. Charity Navigator also has a lot of transparency, with detailed pages set aside describing who they rate, how they rate and tips for donors on how to by savvy and knowledgeable with their donations. This month, the website released a study about the CEO compensation, evaluating CEO salary sizes across various non-profits and pinpointing an idea of how much compensation, is too much.
