Saw that post on Tech Crunch on that French rap video featuring facebook? Well, we think the video’s great! What we also think is that all the pokin’ going on in the video – its going to happen soon to mankind. We drew up the blueprint for you to build your own Iron Man 2 augmented reality kit a couple of days ago. But the video is what the future will be like – pokes and likes and what not,all at the move of your hand. Just be a little careful when you are “poking” in a public place though. Still don’t know what we are talking about? Video after the break. As far as Tech Crunch goes, they are interested in the pokes more than the tech I guess

Iron Man the Movie uses Augmented Reality (AR) as a part of the Jarvis vision system and demonstrates it pretty well. The system segregates the view into various objects it can recognize and overlays information on it. This is quite a futuristic view of what AR could do. This is how we could hypothetically achieve it.

So, you walk into a Seven Eleven 10 years from now. You want to get yourself a cup of tea but don’t want to see any advertising. What do you do? Pay 7/11 some money to tone down the advertising while you shop.hen you go into the store and get instructed on how to make a cup of tea. Then you walk out after paying for the tea. All this in augmented reality. Cool eh? Keiichi Matsuda calls it Augmented “Hyper” Reality. Watch video to know what I am talking about.
