Bemuse means to bewilder. Unwitting means ignorant. Monomania means obsession. Bemuse, unwitting and monomania put together means 30 grains of rice. Every time a word is correctly matched to its definition at FreeRice.com, 10 grains of rice are donated through the United Nations to help end world hunger. So far, 81.6 billion grains of rice have been donated. Considering that it takes 400 grams to feed one person for one day, and one gram of rice consists of 48 grains, 81.6 billion grains is simply, a lot of rice.

Only one kill to win

Spy Party is two-player game in development where one player is a sniper and the other is a spy at a party. The sniper is only allowed one shot, one kill, but kill the wrong person and the sniper loses. The spy has several goals to complete during the party, and must complete them as subtlely as possible. Game designer Chris Hacker developed Spy Party from his desire to make “an asymmetrical multiplayer game about subtle human behavior.” It will still be another two years before the game is completed as its still going through beta testing.

Abraham Lincoln got it wrong when he said, “A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins,” as ‘Jenny’ seems to have gotten the better end of the deal when she quits using a dry erase board and 33 photographs to communicate the decision. Turns out it’s a hoax by thechive.com, but don’t be surprised if one of your coworkers does the same thing and it’s not a prank.
Sometimes, a quitter can win by having the video evidence that proves the decision to quit, as one teenager did when he quit World of Warcraft after playing over 24,000 hours. Maybe this guy will win a real life after saying “the ‘cooler’ your character looks in World of Warcraft, the sadder your real life is.”
