Infovideo: Asteroids Discovered In The Last 30 Years
Sep 3rd
The last 30 years (1980 – 2010) have really been massive for the space science community. We have discovered and documented more heavenly bodies in the last 30 years than mankind has in documented history. Ted Bowell and Associates created the asteroid orbital elements database to precisely track every asteroid that we have discovers in the last 30 years. All this has culminated in a brilliant video that can be considered a time lapse video of asteroids and their movement within the solar system in relation to the planets. So, how many asteroids did we discover in 30 years? About 500,000 o them. Video after the break.

Jun 21st
The US Army has just selected Northrop Grumman to build the Long Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle or the LEMV. The $517 million deal will bring three massive hybrid powered airships to the skies (over Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran??). Larger than a football field, the LEMV will provide the US Army with persistent battle field information. The LMEV can stay aloft at an altitude of 20,000 feet for 3 weeks without a break. Designed to plug into existing systems that the US Army uses, the LMEV is be ready in 18 months for assessment.
NASA Rover Finds Clue To Mars’ Past And Environment For Life
Jun 7th
Rocks examined by NASA’s Spirit Mars Rover hold evidence of a wet, non-acidic ancient environment that may have been favorable for life. Confirming this mineral clue took four years of analysis by several scientists. An outcrop that Spirit examined in late 2005 revealed high concentrations of carbonate, which originates in wet, near-neutral conditions, but dissolves
